Itinerary Changes & Our Commitment
Mountain environments and weather conditions can be unpredictable. We are committed to your safety and the quality of your experience.
Safety & Route Adjustments: We reserve the right to modify routes or arrangements if conditions become hazardous. In such cases, we will select an alternative itinerary with as similar characteristics as possible.
Trip Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason, including logistical issues that may impede operations. In such instances, a full refund of all payments will be provided.
Force Majeure & Unforeseen Events: If a trip is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, epidemics, or major world events), we will provide a travel credit for the amount paid to date, or a refund of the portion of the trip cost that is recoverable. We will make every good faith effort to refund as much of your payment as possible. However, because we must sometimes pay non-refundable deposits to mountain huts and local lodges in advance to secure your itinerary, we cannot guarantee the recovery of those specific funds.
External Expenses: We are not responsible for personal expenses incurred in preparation for a cancelled trip, such as non-refundable airfare, visa fees, insurance, accommodation, equipment purchases, etc.
Participant Responsibility & Insurance
While our trips are designed to be enjoyable and safe, mountain activities carry inherent risks that standard insurance policies may not cover.
- Gear, Fitness & Safety Instructions: Participants are responsible for arriving with the mandatory equipment listed provided by us, and having the physical fitness and health required for their chosen trip. Furthermore, for personal safety and the safety of the group, participants must follow all guide instructions at all times. We reserve the right to deny participation or alter/terminate a trip on the spot — without refund — if a participant lacks essential mandatory gear, is physically unable to safely manage the route (skill, speed), or refuses to comply with safety directions.
- Recommended Coverage: We strongly advise purchasing comprehensive Emergency Medical & Travel Insurance, as well as Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance.
- Check Your Policy: We are not insurance professionals, but we recommend ensuring your coverage specifically includes mountain activities, as your conventional travel insurance or credit card benefits might exclude high-altitude trekking, mountaineering, or ski touring.
