  • Level 3

  • 1-2 clients per guide

  • All year round

Learn the right techniques for efficient progression during a multi-pitch climb — from swapping leads to rope management to rappelling.

Valmalenco is a premier destination for rock climbing, offering many incredible high altitude routes of varied difficulty.

Surrounded by iconic peaks and glaciers, many climbs are also an invitation to explore Valmalenco’s complex geology — a mix of unique serpentine rock, quality granite and others — along breathtaking panoramas in one of Alps’ most authentic valleys.

Pricing

Pricing below is for a 1-day guiding, however, it can be extended in case of multy-day climb.

1 guest / guide:
€ 300 Euro (about $480 CAD)

2 guests / guide:
€ 400 Euro (about $650 CAD)

More than 2 guests:
The maximum number of guest depends on the level of the climbers and challenge of the terrain.

Prices already include taxes but don’t include hut stay for you and the guide. Some mountain huts offer 2-4 bed private rooms, while others have dormitory style accommodation.

For those of you that have already spend time climbing indoors or have some outdoor experience, our multi-pitch climbing course focuses on bridging the gap to lead climbing in more complex terrain.

One of the goals is to refine your technique so that you can approach routes with a strategic eye, understanding how to read a route so you can move with fluidity and purpose.

We can cover climbs of varied difficulty and style — from technical slabs to steeper vertical faces — allowing you to practice clipping draws, managing rope drag and other skills in a real-world environment.

During the course we will go over techniques used for bolted routes and trad climbing (placing the gear).

With focus on efficiency and safety, you will improve these skills:

  • mental transition required to climb “above the bolt”
  • route navigation
  • how to build anchors in an efficient and safe way
  • to organize a belay station
  • plan and manage logistics of a long day in a high-alpine environment
  • rappelling
  • synchronized teamwork between partners

Our approach is highly personalized, and emphasizing risk management and efficiency.

We had fantastic time in Valmalenco! It’s clear that you guys love your valley and know it from the old little villages to the highest peaks. Thanks for organizing everything and your patience when guiding. We are coming back :)

Thank you for your guiding and teaching once again. We had great times exploring your mountains with you! While not as wild as Canada, it’s Europe after all, we really liked that Valmalenco is more rustic than Switzerland or Dolomites. Looking forward to see you for another adventure somewhere!

We hired Stano to plan out and guide us on a travel-trekking trip in Patagonia. While he has not been there before, we had a very smooth and fun trip all around! We trekked 6 days in Torres del Paine Park in Chile and 3 days under Fitzroy in Argentina. Fabulous experience!

Viki V., Vancouver, Canada

With my two daughters, over four winters, we have had magical experiences being guided and coached by Stefano in Valmalenco. His flexibility to deal with a beginner snowboarder to very experienced skier is exceptional. He is a friendly guide, true leader and a fantastic instructor!

Garfield K., United Kingdom

I have been on a couple of adventurous trips with my friends guided by Stano. We don’t like to have every detail planned for our vacation as we appreciate getting into some trouble… it’s just more authentic and fun :) We have hiked together in the Dolomites and Valmalenco, and have travelled in Canada and around the Italian island of Sardinia.
